Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Dematerialisation of Supervillain Architecture.

This is a very interesting blog post about a lecture discussing the dematerialization of ‘Super villain Architecture’ in film and its impact on set design.  It discusses this in regard to the notion that villains no longer control an impenetrable fortress, thus the decline of Supervillain Architecture, but now control the entire network or world outside of their fortress.  As the dimensional nature of the villain’s lair has decreased, the scale of it has increased.
